ChallengeCollars is a mod that adds items, perks, and enemy variations that add mechanics and generally make the game more difficult and/or interesting.

Status Note

This mod is still in development, and has extensive features planned that are not yet implemented.
Upcoming: Feng Hardmode.

Content Overview

• Features 3 new items, designed to hinder the player, which are essentially combinations of existing effects in vanilla. The first 2 are available immediately, the third is available after clearing the Mountain.
• Adds a new menu to Amber's shop which holds these items.
• Adds 1 new song, to be used in a future hardmode. Currently plays if one of the challenge items is equipped during a certain fight.
  • Music Credit: Tinnitus Dance, Dancefloor is Lava, La Boum 2020. I technically don't have to credit this, but I will anyway :).'

Compatibility

• Known incompatibility with Diminuendo, disabling that mod will allow the shop menu to appear
  • Can be re-enabled without issue once the items are purchased.

Version History

1.0.2 Feng's music change now works for her refight in her room. There's also some disabled stuff and readmes in here for testing, don't enable them if you want the mod to work, but feel free to poke through them at your leisure. 1.0.1 Added new music for Feng's phase 2 if you're wearing one of the challenge items. 1.0.0 Added Collar of Champions, True Collar of Champions, and Masochist's Talisman, accessories with detrimental effects meant to challenge the player. Added a new menu addition to Amber's shop where you can purchase the new items.
