Ushris is a Hellhound who serves as one of the four guardians of the Labyrinth alongside her sisters Ceris, Beris and Iabel. Known as the Barghest Witch, she is the administrator of the Labyrinth and the one who keeps it running, and is noted for being far more interested in a pet to play with than a regular partner.

Strategy[edit | edit source]
Ushris is a special encounter in that she will actively dodge all attacks that make contact, making most common moves useless against her. Because of this, she can only truly be attacked with Magic and Seduction skills. To compensate for this, however, Ushris will automatically end combat once she has used enough moves of her own, due to needing to recharge her energy. This does make it very hard to actually defeat her properly (her retreat is counted as a victory but yields no rewards), so it might be preferable to just play defensively to avoid attrition. Even in Exploration mode, she retains this quirk.
Like the other Hellhound sisters, it is possible to run away from her during combat. Either doing so or defeating Ushris outright will only incapacitate her temporarily, and she will become stronger with every subsequent encounter, with no upper limit.
